Summary

Sole Chef position available on a 27m Charter vessel.

We are seeking a professional, experienced Sole Chef to join this 27m busy private and charter program. Candidates must have proven experience on similar-sized vessels and be confident working in high-pressure environments. Ideal candidates will be calm under pressure, able to work independently, and bring creativity and passion to the galley.

Key attributes include: flexibility, attention to detail, a team-oriented mindset, and an appreciation for new culinary trends and techniques. A strong provisioning network is essential, along with experience cooking for dietary requirements is essential. Candidates must be drama-free, and able to maintain a positive attitude in a team setting. Strong references both written and verbal required. 

Female candidates only due to cabin arrangements, previous experience essential.

Several charters booked for the season and potentially more on the horizon. Fairly easy start with a 4 day charter with 2 guests and 4 crew. First charter starts in 2 weeks. Cruising Itinerary mostly between Monaco and St Tropez. Possibly cruising to Portofino later in the season. One charter booked that will have Kosher dietary requirements. Most trips are fairly short with time for breaks in between. Guests are planning to have some meals ashore.

Skills and Attributes Required:

  • Ability to cook a wide range of cuisines and create a varied menu for guests and crew
  • Strong provisioning skills and inventory control
  • Excellent understanding of dietary needs and food safety
  • Attention to budget management and waste reduction
  • Calm, professional demeanour with a positive outlook
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Creative approach to menu planning and presentation

Qualifications Required:

  • STCW (Fully Updated) with PDSD
  • Food and Hygiene Level 2
  • Seafarers Medical Certificate (ENG1 or equivalent)
  • Valid Schengen, if applicable
