Position: Sole Chef (Female - ONLY due to cabin arrangements)
Location: North Queensland
Start Date: As soon as possible - June 2025 at the latest
Qualifications: STCW, Seafarers Medical (ENG1 or AMSA), Food Safety & Hygiene Certificate, Culinary trained
Itinerary: Australia South Pacific Islands
Salary: Competitive - industry standard, AUD DOE
Contract: Full-Time Live Aboard w/ option to live ashore when off charter (at own expense in Cairns)
A prestigious 40m Charter Motor Yacht is seeking a talented and professional female Chef for an exciting South Pacific season. Operating with a dynamic crew and a busy schedule of charters operating around North Queensland and the Islands, this role offers the opportunity to showcase your culinary creativity in some of the most breathtaking and remote locations.
The Chef will be responsible for delivering beautifully presented, nutritious and flavourful meals for both guests and crew, with a strong emphasis on variety, dietary considerations and seasonal, locally sourced produce. This is a hands-on role, best suited to a chef with a friendly and calm demeanor; a team player.
Key Attributes & Requirements:
- Exceptional culinary skills with a genuine passion for fresh, wholesome, and diverse cuisine
- Proven ability to cater to a high-end clientele with varied dietary needs
- Strong provisioning knowledge and experience in remote regions
- Proactive, adaptable, and resourceful — able to work independently with minimal supervision
- High standard of hygiene and galley organisation
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills — a team player with a calm, positive demeanour
- Previous yachting experience preferred, though commercial chef background also considered
- Excellent references to support prior roles in similar environments
