2nd Engineer in Croatia

Summary

*Rotational 2nd Engineer for commercially registered yacht*

Minimum Licence required: EOOW or III/3(Y3)

Start date: No later than 26 May 2025. This will allow a 1 week handover with rotational 2nd.

Cruising: Mediterranean for the summer, home port usually Croatia or Loano. Crossing to West Palm Beach in October/November with home port usually Rybovich.

Build: CRN, 61m, 1049 GT

Year: 2000 (Just recently completed a 8 month long 25 year renewal survey)

Engines: CAT ME & CAT Generators

Dual season charter & private: Mediterranean and USA/Caribbean

No budget restraints, wonderful American owners

Any additional AV/IT skills would be beneficial

This is a hands on role working with chief engineers who know the vessel very well & have been on board for 9 & 5 years respectively.

Shared cabin with 2nd officer

Non-negotiable: No visible tattoos

Mixed crew nationalities, active & healthy habits - looking for a team player who can join in

Rotation: 2.5:2.5 or 3:3

Essential Qualifications

Entry Level Qualifications (or equivalent)

• STCW 95 (STCW 2010)
• ENG 1 (Medical Certificate)
• Drivers License

Engineering Qualifications (or Merchant, USCG & AMSA equivalent)

• RIII/3 Y3 Chief Engineer (<500gt <3000kW)/ Chief Engineer (SV) (<500gt 3000kW)
• RIII/1 Engineer Officer of the Watch (Unlimited)
