An exceptional opportunity has become available for a professional and highly experienced Butler to join a prestigious private household based in Doha. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience working in private households or within the yachting industry, and must be willing and able to travel internationally with the family as required.
Reporting directly to the House Manager, the successful candidate will be a flexible, adaptable, and proactive individual with high energy, a hands-on approach, and a positive attitude. They must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-standard environment and demonstrate a strong team ethic with a willingness to assist across all areas of household operations.
This is a diverse role with a particular focus on wardrobe management, including packing and unpacking for travel, garment and shoe care, and maintaining well-organised dressing areas. The Butler will also be responsible for the care and cleaning of silverware, antiques, and artwork, as well as managing household inventories with precision and attention to detail.
Further duties include personal valet services, formal table and drinks service, oversight of automobile maintenance, and assistance with floral arrangements and table settings. A high standard of presentation and service is expected at all times, along with the ability to work collaboratively with the wider household team.
This position offers shared accommodation in a two-bedroom apartment, with your own private bedroom and bathroom. All meals are provided while on duty, along with 30 days of annual leave, a round-trip flight home, and medical insurance.
The role involves working 6 days per week, with one day off, and approximately 8 to 9 working hours per day.
DUTIES TO INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
· Deliver consistently high standards of household presentation and service
· Provide personal valet services, including wardrobe organisation and shoe care
· Manage formal dining and beverage service for family and guests
· Support the House Manager in developing and maintaining service excellence across the household
· Greet and assist family members and guests with professionalism and warmth
· Maintain cleanliness and readiness of dining areas and guest spaces
· Care for and maintain fine china, crystal, silverware, and glassware
· Arrange flowers and create elegant table decorations
· Oversee inventory and care of household valuables, including artwork and antiques
· Coordinate the upkeep and maintenance of family automobiles
· Ensure the security and overall smooth running of the household
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
· Proven experience in a similar role within a private household or superyachts
· Strong hospitality background, particularly in valet and food and beverage service
· Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high standards
· Professional, discreet, and respectful of privacy at all times
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a team-focused approach
· Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
· Flexibility to travel internationally with the family when required
· Fluency in English
