Summary
· Ideal Start Date: 17th May 2025 (but can be adjusted)
· International family looking for a long term, full-time live in educated day nanny to join stay at home parents and their team in taking care of their 2 daughters (3 months and newborn) and travel the world.
· The Family has a night nanny and day care helpers but would like to find a qualified nanny who can handle a three month old and a newborn during the day and help them raise them
· The Day nanny should be happy to travel around the world and not be fixed on 1 location. The family is never in one location for longer than 3 months. The current years are split the following way: 3 months Bahamas, 3 months Monaco, 3 months France (in a ski chalet) and 3 months on holiday in various countries.
· Parents are retired a Venture Capital Fund Manager and Silicon Valley Entrepreneur. The parents both stay at home, and are both hands on. Thus are looking for someone to respect their wishes and understand that both parents will be involved with children through the day whenever they want. Ideally you should be used to working with at least a mother at home.
· European/North American decent family: Primary family language is English, with fluent French and Russian spoken to babies.
Requirements:
· English speaking
· Non-Smoker
· With a passport that allows international visa free travel to: Bahamas, Monaco, UK, Europe
· strong swimmer (the family is often by the seaside/on superyachts).
· fully vaccinated with usual vaccines
o all CDC/NHS recommendations for adults
o TDAP since dealing with newborn
o Covid and Flu - re-vaccination yearly
· discreet, flexible, polite, does not raise her voice/is not dramatic and has a positive can do attitude. Warm and gentle towards children and uses positive reinforcement. imaginative and playful with the children and assists children in reaching their developmental milestones. The family believes in open communications and gentle parenting and will not use sleep training (i.e. do not let a baby cry in a crib to tire themselves out).
· organised, courteous and well versed in manners and etiquette, a flexible approach and an easy-going, patient demeanour would be best suited for the job.
· The nanny must be capable and experienced in looking after 2 children
· Must be religiously agnostic towards babies
· must be a neat and organised individual who will keep her own possessions and baby possessions organised and tidy
· attention to detail is a must
· punctuality is a must
· the nanny must respect the family space when not on call
Not required but is a bonus:
- driving license
- fluency in languages other than English: French and Russian are spoken in the family.
the nanny will be expected to:
- help stay at home parents with daytime care for 2 daughters: 3 month old and a newborn
- keep an eye on both babies, bottle feed formula, change nappies, help with developmental milestones, help the babies sleep if needed in a sling/pram or cot
- No food preparation for baby required when baby transitions to solids. Serving prepared baby food is expected.
- keep a digital log (the family uses Babyconnect app) for tracking of baby days
- be okay with the family using babycameras for sleep and day milestones tracking
- do baby laundry / bottle cleaning / bottle prep/ diaper pail changing/ etc but no household chores for the family
- keep her own room and her own possessions neatly organised within the house
- ensure baby toys/clothes/supplies are neatly organised around the house
- Confidentiality is a MUST for the family. no posts on social media will be tolerated with either the children or location of the family.
- The family seeks a candidate who is looking for a long-term engagement. The kids are not going to go to day care.
- When on call and all baby chores are done and if parents are with the babies and have confirmed for a prolonged period of time (e.g. parents take babies for a walk) the nanny is welcome to use the family facilities respectfully (e.g. the gym/pool/jacuzzi) or rest/relax/go on a walk/swim in the sea etc
Remuneration/Expenses:
• Fully staffed home
• Working time: On call 5 days per week 6:30am-6:30pm. 2 days off
- Whilst you are on call this does not mean you are necessarily with the babies as parents are stay at home hands on parents, they will be taking the babies on walks etc so there will be time to rest.
- When traveling on super yachts (1-3 week long trips)
- May be on call for 6 days a week (1 day off guaranteed)
- In exceptional circumstances (eg whilst flying on a private jet travelling between Bahamas and French Polynesia) may be on call for 16 hours.
- When travelling on superyacht trips up to 3 weeks may share a passenger stateroom with another nanny.
· Accommodation: Own bedroom and bathroom provided in most places e.g. may need to share a bathroom when in exotic location (e.g. Four Seasons Thailand) or may need to share bedroom and bathroom on a superyacht in French Polynesia.
· Healthcare Expenses: Family will pay for worldwide health insurance and have workers compensation insurance
- Travel: Travel to and from location guaranteed in premium economy, with frequent business / first class upgrade upon availability and family approval. Travel on private jet with family whenever possible and practical. When in locations where transportation is required for work rental car/chauffeur/ubers are reimbursed.
· Meals: The Family regularly provides meals and chef services. The Nanny may either leverage food available onsite at the Family accommodation or may elect to expense one shift meal of up to USD 25 (USA), USD50 (Bahamas), and EUR30 (Monaco and France). Receipts must be submitted for reimbursement. When in a luxury hotel/superyacht, the Nanny is encouraged to use common-sense and discretion when ordering in-villa-dining and dining-in-resort. The Family reserves the right to subject invilla-dining and dining-in-resort to curbs or budgets upon exhibition of abusive or excessive spending by NannY
• Salary: Bahamian work contract with a tax-free salary (Gross = Net). Salary is negotiable and depends on experience USD 4,000-7,000 per month. Yearly discretionary bonus, based on performance.
