Summary
We are looking for an experienced Sole Engineer for a private vessel to join a 38m MY. This is a single season permanent Med based programme. Med in summer and based in Palma for the winter.
Lovely owners and stable programme, mostly cruising around the Ionian islands for long weekend trips starting in May and trips do not usually exceed more than a week.
The owner tends to use the yacht for around 40 days for the entire year. There are great budget on board and plenty of time to get stuck into some projects.
Despite not being a rotational position, this is a great program for someone who lives local to the vessel to enjoy a great work/life balance.
A twin-screw vessel propelled by a pair of 3648hp MTU 16V4000 M90 diesels, she has an impressive top speed of 30kts and cruises comfortably at 22kts with a 948-mile maximum range. She carries a 5.6m Nautica jet tender with a 285hp engine in her stern garage, which also has space for a jet ski.
Our ideal candidate will be responsible for all engineering aspects so mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and sewage knowledge is essential and must feel confident in these areas.
