Chief Engineer in Spain

CHIEF ENGINEER 38M PRIVATE MY

We are looking for a Chief Engineer to join a 38m single season, Med based, private MY currently in Palma for their shipyard period.

This position would suit someone based/ wanting to be based in Palma – lovely owners who use the vessel around 40 days a season from April to September. You would be part of a lovely crew of 6, including a Mate/Assistant Engineer. After a Med summer, the vessel will head to mainland Spain for it’s 20 year survey.

Required Experience & Certs:

• Y3 certificate
• Proven experience with MTU 4000’s
• Confident in yard periods & major surveys (will relieve Captain in project managing at times)
• Strong knowledge of ISM & PMS
• Schengen visa (if applicable)

Start date: 12^th May (to complete handover with the departing C/E of 6 years)

Salary: 7500+ EUR/DOE       

Leave: 40 days per annum

Essential Qualifications

Engineering Qualifications (or Merchant, USCG & AMSA equivalent)

• RIII/3 Y3 Chief Engineer (<500gt <3000kW)/ Chief Engineer (SV) (<500gt 3000kW)
