Summary
I am looking for a Rotational Counterpart for a 151ft American built yacht. The vessel has been through some major machinery upgrades but has some systems that are coming to end of life with the intention of upgrading. On the whole its a fairly reliable vessel with very little alarms and machinery downtime.
This is a temporary position to start and if successful upon probationary period ending will be made rotational.
We are looking for a candidate from a Red Ensign Flagged Country or the US with a minimum of Y3/SV Chief 500GT issued by the MCA or equivalent USCG ticket, who is happy to come in and take direction and report findings and ideas to the Lead Engineer who will then pass onto the Captain. This position would be ideal for a 2nd Engineer looking to step up or a newly qualified Chief Engineer.
The vessel is primarily based in Florida with the odd trip to Bahamas and Summer months in Newport RI so local candidates WILL take priority. Most of the crew live off the vessel and have cars so somebody with an established life in Florida and would appreciate the work/life balance is a must. Its a professional but relaxed program. You will be expected to fall into a standard watch program and spend the occasional night onboard. Currently its a Sole Cabin but will be shared with the Chef when they are onboard.
