Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Permanent Sole Chef for a 40m Private Motor Yacht.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional culinary experiences aboard the yacht. The Sole Chef will manage all aspects of food preparation, menu planning, and kitchen management, ensuring high standards of hygiene, safety, and presentation. The chef will work closely with the guests to cater to their dietary preferences and requirements, creating unique dining experiences that enhance the overall journey. They will also be asked to cook daily meals for the crew onboard that are nutritious and give the necessary energy to get through the day.
Candidate requirements:
- Proven experience as a Sole Chef in a similar capacity on yachts or in a fine dining environment.
- Strong culinary skills with the ability to create a diverse range of dishes.
- Experience in menu planning and budgeting.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to accommodate varying guest preferences and special dietary needs.
- Healthy and nutritious meals.
- Sailing Experience a big advantage.
- Happy to help out in other departments when the boss or charter guests aren't onboard.
- Valid STCW and ENG1.
- Ship's Cook Certificate.
- B1/B2 and Schengen Visa/ Resident.
Package:
- Salary: $8,500 - 9,000 pcm
- Leave: 42 days paid leave per year
