Summary

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Engineer to join a 50m Private Expedition Motor Yacht. The vessel just finished an extensive refit and will start cruising the MED for the summer season. MED home port is Palma, Winter 2024 in Caribbean after which the vessel will do engine works in preparation for world cruising itinerary.

Must have experience with Diesel Electric systems, be hands on and willing to get your hands dirty!

Contract: Permanent, 10/10 Rotation

Starting date: ASAP

About the program: Finishing extensive yard period in Turkey. MED cruising summer 2024, Caribbean winter 2024.

Qualification Requirements:

Y3 CoC at a minimum

STCW, ENG1

Proven experience with Diesel Electric

Strong technical knowledge of onboard systems

Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Excellent organizational and leadership abilities

A commitment to maintaining the highest safety standards

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and maintain all engineering systems onboard

Perform regular inspections, maintenance, and repairs of machinery and equipment

Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations

Manage the engineering department and delegate tasks effectively

Keep accurate records of maintenance and operations

Salary: €8,000+ per month, dependent on experience and qualifications
