They excel in commercial vessels, naval vessels, and yachts, utilising state-of-the-art technology to deliver innovative design solutions globally.

The Chief Engineer provides technical leadership to the Marine Engineers and Naval Architects, and is responsible for the delivery and oversight of the technical scope of work for projects within the commercial vessel design team.

Role Overview:

Lead a team of Marine Engineers and Naval Architects, ensuring the technical scope of work meets safety and quality standards and is delivered to design intent.Manage project-specific teams, maintaining project schedules and budgets.Act as a senior point of contact for clients, while also contributing to business development.Collaborate with internal departments for Commercial, Legal, Governance, and Financial aspects.Promoting the client externally through writing papers, delivering presentations and attending industry forums. A key part of the role will be ensuring that the strengths of the design team are maintained and strategically developed.About You:

Degree-qualified in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or similar, with Chartered Status.Over 10 years of relevant experience in the marine industry.A technical expert with significant experience in a wide range of design activity, ideally with lightweight aluminum and medium to high-speed craft.Familiarity with relevant codes and Classification Society rules.Strong communication and team management skills, capable of promoting the company externally.Detail-oriented and skilled in workload planning.This team is is highly dynamic and you will interact closely with colleagues responsible for Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, Outfit Engineering and Production Design.
