This is a permanent role based in New Zealand working for a family-owned winery, focused on becoming one of New Zealand’s great wine producers that can comfortably sit alongside the great wineries of the world.
Our quest for quality and delivering a world class experience is showcased at our Giant’s site in Hawke’s Bay, which is home to our cellar door, restaurant, boutique accommodation and our owners’ immaculate private residence.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced multitasker with experience in maintaining the cleanliness of luxury accommodation and facilities to join our team as a Private Lodge Property Coordinator based within the owners’ private residence.
The main responsibilities are:
Ensuring that the property is maintained to the highest possible standards at all times.
General indoor and outdoor household cleaning
Watering plants and creating floral arrangements as required
Maintaining vehicles
Identifying and ensuring that any maintenance issues are dealt with in a timely manner with minimum impact on the family.
Weekly visual checking of both inside & outside house including all technical rooms & equipment, logging any issues, and also logging that all is in working order.
Scheduling and supervising household maintenance and repairs with contractors and service companies; check and monitor completed work.
Additional responsibilities when owners are in residence:
Washing and ironing laundry
Running errands, grocery shopping and restocking household items as required
Basic food preparation as required
The successful applicant will have:
2+ years’ experience in cleaning luxury accommodation and facilities (or equivalent, e.g., super yacht)
Experience working with high end finishings and understand how various materials are to be treated to be appropriately maintained.
Previous experience in a customer service role
Full clean drivers' license
High level of confidentiality
Ability to adhere to health and safety protocols.
This role can be tailored to the successful candidate. There is the option to work 20 hours a week when the owners are not on site, increasing to full time (35-40 hours per week) when the owners are in residence, which is typically 8 weeks of the year across 2-3 visits. Or alternatively, full time hours are available all year round picking up additional hours each week within another department, dependent on experience.
