GRP Finisher - Contract

Job Description:

We are looking for a highly skilled Marine GRP Finishers for contract positions to support the production team. The Marine GRP Finisher will play a crucial role in the final stages of the manufacturing process, ensuring that our marine vessels meet our exacting standards for quality and aesthetics. This position involves working with various hand and power tools and finishing materials to achieve a flawless and visually appealing surface finish on our marine products.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and refine surfaces by sanding, filling, and smoothing as required for marine vessel construction.Apply gel coat, marine-grade paint, or other specialized finishes to fiberglass and composite boat components.Buff, polish, and wax the finished marine vessels to achieve a high-quality, durable surface.Conduct thorough inspections of completed marine vessels to identify defects or imperfections and make necessary adjustments.Collaborate closely with the production team to meet production goals and deadlines for marine vessels.Maintain a clean and organized work area in adherence to marine industry safety standards.Follow all safety guidelines and utilize personal protective equipment to ensure a safe working environment.Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Marine GRP Finisher or in a similar role within the marine industry.Proficiency in using a wide range of hand and power tools commonly employed in marine vessel finishing work.In-depth knowledge of marine-specific finishing techniques, including gel coat application and marine-grade paint application.Exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to producing marine vessels of the highest quality.Strong communication skills and a dedication to excellence in marine vessel finishing.Knowledge of marine safety procedures and the correct use of personal protective equipment in a marine production environment.Competitive salary, commensurate with experience, in the marine industry.
