An opportunity for a Structural Engineer to join a prestigious marine design & engineering client based in Hampshire.
The role
Working within the technical team on structural design & analysis projects, for steel and aluminium commercial vesselsWorking closely with other areas within the business and shipyards, ensuring customers requirements are met and classification approval achievedThe Structural Engineer will provide a skilled contribution to maintain technical requirements, share their knowledge of other members of the team and working collaborativelyHampshire based, with hybrid working following officed based probation
Requirements
Degree level qualification in Naval Architecture or similar disciplineMinimum of 3 years relevant experienceSoftware experience in AutoCAD, Rhino, Strand7 and MS OfficeKnowledge and understanding of statutory regulations and Classification and Flag rule sets.Knowledge and experience of ship systems and their impact upon integrationCommercial awareness, with the ability to ensure that works are being carried out and completed to an appropriate standard and level of detail, measured against the contracted deliverables and tracked against the agreed budgetThe individual will need to be able to obtain a BPSS
