Thew Captain is looking for someone with not huge amounts of experience, but at the same time not to little. He understands that the salary is not the greatest and so they need to find an inbetweener who is happy with the offered salary as there is no wiggle room.

This is a mixed position as they have managed without and ETO for ages using a mechanical 3rd. I’ve suggested an AV/IT who is willing to learn more 3rd engineer type roles. Someone who is wanting to move up and broaden their appeal. Learn more in the engine room and with good AV/IT skills.
