Location: Berkshire/Hampshire border
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience
A relaxed UHNW family of 4 are looking to appoint a child and pet-friendly Head Housekeeper with a positive approach to seamlessly join the collaborative Estate team. A can-do attitude and leading by example are essential requirements for this wonderful hands-on role where you will be responsible for managing the interior of this 14-bedroom weekend/holiday home. No childcare or cooking will be expected as a full-time Nanny and Chef are employed.
The ideal candidate will have exceptionally high standards, previous yachting experience and a good eye for detail, as well as extensive housekeeping and laundry knowledge, including caring for delicates. You will be confident and experienced working with antiques and fine finishes, as well as being comfortable with front-of-house duties and table service. Any wine knowledge and cellar care would be highly advantageous.
Working 5 days per week (to include weekends) you will have 2 consecutive days off in the week, but flexibility in your working hours will be required to accommodate split shifts and longer days when the family are in residence. It is important to note during the Summer of 2024 this will become the principal’s main residence.
Accommodation will be provided in a modern two-bedroom cottage with a small private garden within the grounds, separate from the main house (basic utilities included). Due to the location of the house, someone who loves the countryside and is comfortable around animals and country pursuits are essential. Partners and pets are welcome to live here as well, however, it is important to note that this is not a couple’s position so partners would have to find work in the local area.
