Quay Crew are looking for an experienced crew member who is looking to come land based and work in a newly created role to help us continue to grow. Quay Crew are one of the leading super yacht recruitment agencies in the world. We have a great reputation and work with many of the leading management companies and high profile super yachts in the industry. We are a company which is always looking to evolve and have several exciting ongoing projects which you will be a part of. Currently we are looking for a Consultant to join our successful team in the Poole office working in the newly formed Land based recruitment team. The new team has hit the ground running and we are looking to recruit an additional consultant already. You will be recruiting Yacht & Charter Brokers predominantly. Once you have got your feet under the table you can work remotely several days a week. You can be based in the UK or South of France. The role will involve speaking to candidates on a daily basis via email and phone. Building your own personal profile via social media is essential. Your role will include reference checking, writing cover letters to send to clients looking for crew along with providing a brief of the job to the candidate and keeping them updated on the progress of their applications. You will also be updating our database consistently. This position may involve some travel periodically, predominantly to the South of France and Spain when life returns to normal. It is essential that you possess a few qualities to be a success in this role. You must be confident, personable and enjoy talking to people over the phone. Be ambitious and want to succeed and grow as there are career opportunities with us over the next couple of years. Have good English both verbal & written. This is hugely important. Being organised and having a good memory would be very useful. Having knowledge of yachts and the industry in general would be advantageous but not essential as we have a great team with extensive yachting knowledge who can help teach you the industry and terms. Enjoy working in a fast paced environment. Have a good sense of humour. Have reasonable IT skills including Microsoft office and any experience with databases would be a bonus. Be a competent typer. Working for us means a good basic in £ or € and the opportunity to get regular pay rises if you perform consistently. There is a very good and achievable commission structure. You will be working in a fun environment with a great team. All of us get on very well so you need to have a positive personality and fit in. We have an excellent location at Salterns Marina so the beach is just a 5 min drive away. In addition we do regular in house training, financially support you in your personal development in your own time and pay for external training to enable you to work to the best of your ability. Initially, this will be a full time role working from the office whilst you learn the ropes. Once you have proven yourself there will be the opportunity to work remotely some of the week or be located in the South of France. You must have the right to work in the UK or France to be considered. Start date is flexible.
