An ultra-high net worth family based in North London are seeking to hire an experienced, hard-working live-in Housekeeper on a temporary basis for their family home. This is a great opportunity to work for a highly prominent international family who have multiple properties globally and expect high standards throughout their households.
Joining a team of 3 housekeepers, you will responsible for the hands-on cleaning and laundry for this large property and ensure that the highest standards of cleanliness are maintained at all times. Prior housekeeping and laundry experience within a private household is essential for this role, as well as knowledge of fine fabric care and suitability of cleaning products.
You will stay in shared staff accommodation which is located near to the residence – during Covid times you will be required to share a bedroom due to increased need for live-in staff, and will have a shared kitchen, lounge, garden and bathroom.
The position will be 6 days per week with flexibility required to accommodate rotas, and due to the nature of lockdown you will be required to stay within the household bubble during your days off.
Although initially a short-term contract, this role could go permanent.
RESPONSIBILITIES • Daily general household cleaning to a very high standard • Laundry management, including washing, clothes, towels and lines and luxury fabric care. • Managing dry cleaning coming in and out of property • Manging the principal’s wardrobe: inventory, cleaning, packing • Supervising and training junior member of staff • Welcoming guests, table service and preparing accommodation • Ordering and arranging flowers • Pet care
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA • At least 3 years’ relevant experience in a similar position within a private household • High standard of cleaning and outstanding laundry and ironing skills • Good level of English is essential, Russian would be is an asset • Organised and meticulous, with a high level of attention to detail • Ability to complete tasks to the highest standards • Reliable, hardworking and efficient • Flexible with a ‘can-do’ and proactive attitude • Able to work independently, show initiative, self-managing • A good team player • Reliable and discreet • Non-smoker • Pet-friendly • Valid UK work permit • Excellent checkable references
