Position:   CHIEF OFFICER - ROTATION 10 weeks on / 10 weeks off  - PAID WHILE WORKING.

JOB ID: 679533   Yacht: 50 - 55m Private MY    Location : Central America/Mexico area   Start date : end of June to mid July for start date   Itinerary: Local Cruising    Requirements:  CoC Chief Officer <3000 (M) or (Y) preferred.   CoC OOW candidates (M) or (Y) may also be considered should they fulfill the requirements below.    4-5 years in the Deck department on yachts. [Minimum : 2 years as CO on yachts >45m or 3-4 years as 2/O on yachts >60m] - Paint Work (Awlgrip) and Varnish - Competent  

Certification Seafarers Medical Certificate - valid minimum 6 months STCW + Refresher Passport  B1/B2 visa (Preferred) STCW Advance Fire Fighting (VI/3) Additional knowledge: Familiar with DeepBlue Management Software (Advantage not mandatory) Familiar with Quicken Finance Software (Advantage) AV/IT Knowledge an (Advantage)  Preferences: Discharge Book  – can apply while on vessel STCW Cert of Proficiency in Survival Craft and Rescue Boats (VI/2-1) CEC – can apply while on vessel GMDSS SSO – if you have (1 officer must carry) STCW Cert of proficiency Medical Care on board ship (A-VI/4-2) STCW Cert of Proficiency in Medical First aid (VI/4-1) STCW Helm (Management) A-II/2 – (if you have) ECDIS  General Conditions;     - Salary USD $7,500.00 p/m (3 months probation. USD $8,000.00 p/m thereafter) - 10 Weeks ON : 10 Weeks OFF (Only paid when ON).

  • Vacation : 3.17 days earned per month worked (onboard). When off the vessel, no days are earned.   (Officer has own cabin) Male or Female candidates   This is NOT an Office Job. (2 days of paperwork, 3 days on deck "including wash-downs, teak work, varnish, paint, water-sports..etc.)   Conditions of employment: will require x2 weeks of isolation and covid test prior to boarding vessel.   Team: NO This job is best suited for candidates that do not have to be around crew hang-outs and other crew. Someone with a hobby, surfing, Spanish, golf, etc. If you are high energy and need to be on the go all the time this is not the right job for you. If you enjoy a slower pace of life this would be ideal.   A 1 year commitment to this program is needed. Candidates will be interviewed via telephone and flown in as travel restrictions are lifted.   This program does background checks.
