What does a stewardess do on a superyacht?

A stewardess, also known as a steward, is a crew member on a superyacht who is responsible for providing service and assistance to the guests on board. The stewardess typically works in the interior of the yacht and reports to the chief steward or the chief stewardess.

Some of the duties of a stewardess on a superyacht may include:

  • Providing exceptional customer service to the guests on board, including assisting with their needs and requests
  • Cleaning and maintaining the guest cabins and public areas of the yacht
  • Serving meals and drinks to the guests, as well as setting tables and helping with table service
  • Assisting with the organization and execution of onboard events and activities
  • Maintaining an inventory of supplies and replenishing them as needed
  • Ensuring that the yacht is clean and well-maintained at all times

In addition to these duties, a stewardess may also be responsible for training and supervising junior crew members and helping to ensure that the guests' experience on board is as enjoyable and comfortable as possible. Some stewardesses may also have specialized skills, such as culinary training or experience in event planning, which they can use to enhance the guests' experience on board.
