Updated Proficiency in Fire Prevention & Fire Fighting

Update training (Refresher) in Fire Prevention & Firefighting in accordance with STCW 2010 which states that Seafarers qualified in accordance with paragraph 2 in basic training shall be required every five years, to provide evidence of having maintained competence, to undertake the tasks, duties and responsibilities listed in column 1 of tables A-VI/1-1 and A-VI/1-2.

Pre-requsites for Updated Fire Prevention & Firefighting

Seafarers with six months or more sea service prior to August 1998 and were exempt from basic safety courses

Seafarers who have a FPFF certificate and who have maintained the required standard of competence

Updated PST is run on consecutive days with Updated Fire Prevention & Firefighting, a discount is available if both courses are booked together.
