The purpose of this course is to update the skills of advanced firefighting and renew certificate. This is required for all seafarers every 5 years, according to STCW, section A-VI/3 (paragraph 5 & 6). Offshore personnel is required to renew certificate every 4 years.
Course Structure
The participant will be able to:
•Control firefighting operations aboard a ship
•Organise and train fire parties
•Inspect and service fire detection and extinguishing systems and equipment
•Investigate and compile reports on incidents involving fire
