Developed to align with the reputable IAMI GUEST Programme and delivered by UKSA’s experienced superyacht instructor team and experts within their fields. This industry-recognised, all-inclusive course gives you the practical skills and knowledge needed to deliver the high standards of service and attention to detail expected on 5-star vessels. No two days are the same—just like life onboard. One day you might be learning flower arranging, and wine and cocktail presentation, the next you could be completing firefighting training. The course reflects the wide range of skills required to succeed in the superyacht industry.
Training takes place at UKSA’s dedicated superyacht training centre, complete with fully equipped cabins, a dining room, superyacht galley, and laundry facilities. This immersive environment provides a realistic onboard experience, helping you build confidence, professionalism, and the right mindset to step onto your first superyacht ready to succeed.
This course is all-inclusive with no hidden extras. Course fees include all training, food and accommodation, examinations, certification and internet access for the duration of the course. You will benefit from mentoring, access to UKSA's careers network, realistic careers advice and help with CVs. Training is delivered by top hospitality maritime specialists who will prepare you with the skills needed to excel in the superyacht industry.
Course Structure

- GUEST Yacht Interior Introduction
- GUEST Basic Food Service
- GUEST Wine, Bartending and Mixology
- GUEST Basic Housekeeping and Laundry
- GUEST Barista and hot beverages
- GUEST Floristry and Plant Maintenance
- STCW Basic Safety Training
- MCA Proficiency in Designated Security Duties
- RYA Powerboat Level 2
- RYA Maine Short Range radio
- Level 2 Award in Food Safety / Food Hygiene
- Mental Health for Seafarers
- Upon successful completion of the introductory modules, you will be eligible to apply for the GUEST Certificate of Competence.

Pre-requisites:
- Interior crew are typically required to work long hours and must be physically fit and able
- You must be energetic and enthusiastic with an ability to work to a high standard in all tasks
- Some previous experience in hospitality is a great bonus
- Aligned experience in beauty, food and beverages, catering, wine and art appreciation, massage, sports and training, these extra skills will also be useful in your career progression
- You must have an ENG1 seafarer medical fitness certificate to work at sea.
