STCW 95 (STCW 2010)

This program meets the requirements of the Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping (STCW) regulation for Basic Safety Training of mariners.

Comprising of four individual modules;

Elementary First Aid (STCW A-VI/1-3)

A one day course in basic first aid for seafarers certificated by assessment.

Personal Safety & Social Responsibilities (STCW A-VI/1-4)

A half day course - the MCA syllabus covers personal safety and social responsibilities on board a vessel.

Personal Survival Techniques (STCW A-VI/1-1)

(non-STCW RYA Basic Sea Survival certificate is also accepted in place of this certificate for Superyacht or Code Vessel candidates)

A one day course in basic sea survival for seafarers certified by assessment.

There is a 2 hour pool session - all students must be fit enough to board a liferaft from the water.

Fire Fighting and Fire Prevention (STCW A-VI/1-2)

A three day course in basic marine fire fighting, undertaken at Merseyside Fire & Rescue Services fire training centre (booked through JPMA).
