RYA booklets SRCP & G26 are essential reading prior to this course, (SRCP must be purchased through us in order to get an RYA exam application form). It is vital that you know the phonetic alphabet & allocated purpose of the following VHF channels 6, 8, 13, 16, 37, 67, 70, 72, 77, & 80 prior to the day of the course.

An 8 hour course covering all the VHF radio procedures that you need to know before taking the exam. The exam will normally take place the same day as the course. Essential reading prior to the course RYA booklets SRCP and G26 (available from East Coast Offshore Yachting, cost £17.00 inc p&p). Studying the booklets beforehand forms part of the course.                               A VHF radio operators licence is required for people wishing to take their yachtmaster Coastal  or Offshore practical exam.          A passport size photo will be needed for the issue of your licence.
