RYA Start Yachting

The Start Yachting 2-day course is intended for novices who would like to have a go at sailing but are unsure if it is for them. Therefore, this introductory course is intended to give prospective sailors the opportunity to discover the delights of sailing and provide an enjoyable learning experience.

By the end of the course, participants will have experienced steering a yacht, sail handling, rope work and be aware of safety on board. On completion of the the 2 days participants who wish to continue sailing may add to their experience and their Start Yachting certificate by completing a further 3 day course to bring them up to the level of Competent Crew.
