RYA Safety Boat

This 2 day course introduces the techniques used in powerboats escorting fleets of dinghies, windsurfers, kitesurfers and canoes/kayaks. It gives you the skills to act as a an escort craft, safety boat or coach boat covering safety and rescue cover, assisting in race/coaching management and mark laying.

Course Structure

Preparation, boat handling, dinghy rescue, windsurfer, kayak/canoe and kitesurf rescue (can be covered as theory), lowing, local factors, communication, safety and suitability of craft.
