RYA PWC Instructor (jetski etc)

RYA Personal Watercraft Instructors Course - Any Yacht registered as an RYA Training Centre will require a minimum of 1 PW Instructor onboard and many larger yachts will require several to cover shift patterns. With this in mind, there is a high demand for crew with this important certificate within the SuperYacht industry. Having this qualification will considerably enhance your chances of employment on large yachts.

All yachts and maritime organisations in the Mediterranean operating jetskis require the operators to have a certificate, whether it be the RYA PW Safety Course or RYA PW Competency Course, an RYA PW Instructor is authorised to teach and certificate these courses under a recognised RYA Training Centre.

Course Structure

The PWI Course is set over 3 Days, it will cover all aspects of teaching the 1 day PWC Competency Course and the 1 Day PW Safety Course which is the SuperYacht specific course.

Useful Information

Training will take place from our centre based in Poole Harbour Dorset. Poole is very close to Southampton and Bournemouth airports which offer flights to and from the med.

Course Pre-requisites:

RYA PWC Competency certificate (course available in conjunction with PWI as a 4 day package)

RYA First Aid certificate (or as per RYA approved list. If stcw needs to be within 5 Years)

Approx 2 seasons PW riding experience and a competent Powerboat driver

RYA Membership or certificate fee

16 years or older
