RYA Inland Waterways Helmsman's Course

This course is ideal for the new boat owner who is conscious of the difficulty and potential hazards of boat handling in the marina.

The RYA Helmsman’s course is intended to provide sufficient experience to safely handle small to medium sized cruisers.

Although essentially a practical course some time is spent upon such aspects of seamanship as safety and Rules of The Road.

Successful candidates will be issued with the RYA Helmsman’s Certificate.
