Like the Day Skipper course, this course consists of skippered passages in a variety of situations. Each trainee will skipper more challenging passages and learn more about passage planning, pilotage by day and night, boat handling, safety and emergency situations.
Course Structure
A practical yachting course, teaching the advanced skills and techniques required to skipper a yacht on coastal passages by day and night. Covers advanced yacht handling, seamanship, pilotage and navigating coastal passages.
Useful Information
Previous Experience: 15 days sea time, 2 days as skipper, 300 nm logged, 8 night hours and navigation skills to Coastal Skipper standard.
