RYA Coastal Skipper/Yachtmaster Offshore Theory

This course is taught over 40 hours with three exam papers. We conduct this course as an intensive week-long course, however, evening classes are available on request. During the course you will refine you skills and knowledge on position fixing, course shaping and plotting, tides, the use of almanacs and admiralty publications, electronic position finding equipment, the taking and interpreting forecasts as well as plotting weather systems, weather predictions using a barometer and by observation. Underpinning knowledge of collision regulations is essential before you start the course.
