Proficiency in Survival Craft & Rescue Boats (PSCRB) (A-VI/2 1-4)

This 4 day USCG Approved Course includes theory and practical training and assessment utilizing MPT’s RHIB’s and various Survival Craft.

This course will satisfy the Training and Practical Assessments of STCW A-VI/2, Table A-VI/2-1, 2-2.

Launching and Recovery of Life Boats

Shipboard Davit Systems

Oar Commands

If you are taking this course to satisfy a maritime administration outside of the united states we recommend verifying with your flag state to ensure that they will accept a USCG approved training certificate before undertaking the training.

Useful Information

Required Materials

Passport (ID), Paper, Pen, Highlighter,Bathing suit/Shorts,hat,towel and sunscreen.Candidates taking this course are required to bring the following clothing for the practical lifeboat launching assessments: Long Pants and Sturdy Closed Toed Shoes or equivalent. MPT will provide the use of a work vest and hard hat or you can bring your own.
