We offer the same friendly support to everyone, whether you opt for a comprehensive package or just want a single mock exam before the big day.

A key principle of our system is the emphasis we place on starting to speak out loud early in your preparation. Whether that is in our weekly small-group clinics or our private sessions, doing so provides repeated opportunities to find your weak spots in plenty of time and to build confidence in your ability to verbalise your knowledge precisely and concisely in front of the Examiner.

Course Structure

The OOW 3000gt Yacht Oral Prep Journey

Step 1 – eLearning For A Few Months

Firstly, we start off with our eLearning resources for a few of months to help you get the basics sorted. Designed to be engaging and highly interactive, all of our modules are kept rigorously up-to-date and are arranged as short lessons so you can dip in and out when you have time. They can be accessed via any browser or an app, which also works offline and individual modules on particular subjects are also available separately.

Step 2 – Small-Group Clinics For 4-6 Weeks

As you begin to feel comfortable with the learning materials, we transition to our weekly small-group sessions or 'clinics' for four to six weeks before your exam. Covering COLREGs and General Knowledge, these two-hour sessions provide an opportunity to speak out loud, learn from peers and build confidence. These can be booked individually or as a block for those that wish to secure dates ahead of time.

Step 3 – Private Sessions For 2-4 Weeks

In the final stages, you move on to private sessions with our expert tutors in the two to four weeks leading up to the exam. These sessions may include tutorials on tricky subjects, check-in sessions to maintain momentum and hold you accountable, as well as mock orals to pinpoint weak areas. Our large team allows you to experience mock exams with a variety of tutors, enhancing your confidence and resilience in the real exam.

Pricing

We offer a flexible form of MCA oral prep so we don't have one fixed price for our prep courses. Instead, we build a package which fits around your timeline and budget, based on the pricing below:

eLearning - Available as individual modules starting at just £20 for one month's access. One month of all of our eLearning resources is currently £245 and longer terms become a lot cheaper per month.

Clinics - Each two hour small-group session has a maximum of six people and costs only £40.

Private Sessions - Our private sessions cost £65 per hour.
