Book/Enquire this coursePure Botany’s Plant Care Training is a tailored, onboard program designed specifically for the realities of yacht operations. The training combines practical instruction with plant care fundamentals, covering light assessment, correct watering techniques, soil and drainage management, pest identification and treatment, and seasonal adjustments.
Sessions can be adapted to the vessel’s size and structure—whether delivered to the full crew, specific departments such as interior or deck, or designated plant-responsible crew members. The goal is to build confidence and competence, ensuring plants remain healthy and manageable without adding pressure during busy operation.
Course Structure
Following an initial onboard consultation (day 1) —during which environmental conditions (light, water, air etc), plant health, and existing systems are assessed—the training program is tailored to the specific plant species in use, onboard infrastructure, vessel operations, and the crew’s maintenance capacity.
The training is structured to fit within one working day (day 2) and includes both a theoretical and a practical component. The theoretical session covers essential plant care principles and yacht-specific considerations, while the practical portion focuses on hands-on techniques directly applied to the vessel’s installation.
All necessary plant-care sundries are supplied as part of the program and remain onboard for continued use.
