This one-day HABC Food Safety At Sea training course, required by the maritime industry for all food handlers, covers essential training in food safety, personal hygiene, and cleaning. This certificate is also mandatory for those involved in loading food during provisioning, as well as chefs and stewardesses, making it a valuable addition to every crew member’s portfolio, no matter which role they have onboard.
The MCA only accepts certificates from courses which are listed in MIN 689 (M). The HABC Highfield Awards in Food Safety , delivered by Ocean Wave Monaco, are listed as approved in MIN 689 (M).
Please note that the MCA will not accept course certificates which are not listed in MIN 689(M) and the MCA will not accept courses which have been delivered solely by computer- based training (CBT).
The course concludes with an in-person, invigilated written exam.
