Action-based, simulation heavy maritime focused. Includes first response safety & actions, recovery position, bleed control. fracture management, burn mangement, stretcher and transport, fluid administration, oxygen administration, using telemed (tailored to vessel system), speaking with guests/relatives, simulated scenarios and debrief feedback, and review of onboard medical kits and supplies for risk assessment.

Course Structure

Pre-season EFA course consists of one day onboard the vessel between 5-6 hours depending on the number of crew. Normal hours 09:30 - 16:30 can be adjusted to suit the vessel schedule.

STCW courses can be run as a super course (EFA, MFA and MC or refresher run concurrently, onboard the vessel or in the classroom. Certified through MSOS.
