Elementary First Aid (A-VI/1-3)

This MCA approved training programme is intended to meet the requirements set out in section A-V1/1 of the STCW code for training in Elementary First Aid and Element 121.4 of Unit 121 of the marine vessel S/NVQs.

The aim of this training is to give all persons intending to go to sea a basic knowledge of the immediate action to be taken upon encountering an accident or other medical emergency onboard ship. The programme is structured to deliver both theoretical and practical knowledge of basic lifesaving medical first aid. Delegates will be assessed on the defined learning competencies of the relevant STCW code.
