    Temp for 3 months, then go Perm. Build up your sea time and Engineering experience. • Do you have an MED 1 or Y3 or equivalent? • Can you start in Jan 2015 through to March and possibly beyond? • Do you have experience of Caterpillar engines? Note: Australian working conditions so you MUST have permission to work in Australia. This yacht is owned by a down to earth Australian family and has a very busy schedule and an exciting itinerary. The yacht is based in Sydney over the Summer period undertaking daily corporate cruises and family trips most weekends, the remaining time is mostly spent in the South Pacific. You will be a competent and confident Engineer and be able to organise your department for long passages and periods of time in remote places. You will also have a positive attitude and be willing to help out wherever needed. Qualifications and Desired Attributes: • Engineer experience on similar sized Superyachts. • MED1 or equivalent overseas qualification. • Valid ENG1 (or equivalent). • STCW95 including Security Training for seafarers. • Experience with twin CAT 3412 engines or C4.4 generators a bonus but not essential. • Must be able to drive a tender to “guest” standard. • Be a team player in a small crew of 5/6, willing to assist with interior and deck duties as required, especially on charter. (Own cabin also provided). • Have good organizational skills and be self-motivated. • Non-smoker preferred.     Be part of a great galley team and grow your yachting career! • Do you have great knife skills? • Are you a travel inspired Chef who has experience catering for over 50 crew? • Can you work for 4 to 6 weeks in Dec & Jan? with view to ongoing? We are looking for talented and experienced 3rd and 4th Chefs with previous Superyacht experience, who are at the top of their game! You will be one of a four-person team in the galley and will be a proactive and energetic team member. Most importantly you will be providing a great varied menu for the crew, as well as being motivated and eager to learn from the head chef to improve and better your skills. Your primary objective is to maintain a clean and organised galley, while producing a diverse selection of crew food. You will work with the team to produce crew food and assist in the daily operation of the galley. During guest trips you will run the crew galley under the support and direction of the Executive Chef or Head Chef for menu planning. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate strong culinary confidence and skills while creating diverse, varied and well balanced meals for the crew. You will be organised and have a high level of hygiene, you will be able to follow a department budget and be able to aid with provisioning and stock rotation. You will work well under pressure and enjoy a fast paced working environment. This position is starting out as temporary for 4 to 6 weeks then may go permanent depending on your performance. Qualifications and desired attributes: • 2 years’ experience in yachts, cruise liners or a similar role.     Work for a lovely couple with 3 residences: near the beach, on the harbour waterfront and on a big farm in the country! • Do you want a land-based role with responsibility and challenge? • Do you like the country life with a bit of city and beach from time to time? • Are you ‘ex-Superyacht crew’ who can manage single-handedly? Please note that only Australian or NZ nationals or anyone with a Permanent Residency visa will be eligible to apply. Since the client ultimately wants a long-term person for this role then a working holiday visa is insufficient. If your temporary period goes well the job may become PERMANENT. Start as soon as you are found! work until the end of January and then discuss an ongoing role. Daily rate negotiable, hours flexible. This will be a lot like a Superyacht stew role. Part of your role is to cook for the principals and their guests from time to time but you don’t necessarily have to be a trained Chef if you’ve got the skills and confidence to produce the basic repertoire and do it well! It's not a large part of your role but a necessary one. You will certainly need experience and skills in Housekeeping and management of a home - 3 houses in fact! Belonging to the principals are: a large ‘holiday home’ on the Northern Beaches, a harbour waterfront home in the Eastern Suburbs and also a 200-acre country farm. Overnight accommodation provided at each location but permanent accommodation in the country – 2-bd townhouse is offered as part of your package. Manage the family and visitors over the busy holiday period. Most of this will be a the beach house (Dec./Jan.) Housekeeping, laundry, shopping required. You will need a car for which you’ll be given an allowance for its use. Cooking: Set up breakfast, (there may be some cooking required), Other meals are anything from setting up a “do it yourself sandwich bar” to a buffet or BBQ or family-style meal, or full-on sit-down 3-course! Sometimes they will go out. You’ll need to be flexible and communicate well with the principals. Over the Christmas period there will be lots of grandkids from 0 – 6 and some baby-sitting from time to time when parents go out. The yacht can be very busy with quick turnarounds, so we are looking for someone with a ‘Can do’ attitude, a positive outlook and a smile. This role is purely Housekeeping and there will be no service, maybe only when there are large parties. Desired Attributes & Qualifications: • STCW 95 Basic Training • Valid ENG1 • Valid USA B1/B2 Visa • Cayman Island Discharge Book would be a bonus. • Have Previous Yacht laundry experience • Have At least one seasons experience in the industry which includes housekeeping • Good eye for detail • Team Player who is a self-starter • Good communicator with fluent English • Well presented Salary: US$ 2800 – US$3250 depending on experience, 6 weeks paid holiday taken at the convenience of the vessel, 1 return flight per year to place of residence.
