Couples Position: Captain/ Engineer & Sole Stew Cook. 63ft moving to a New build 80ft this summer.

Seeking an Sea going Captain/Engineer for a new build 80ft Nordhavn heavy displacement yacht.

Its imperative you are not looking to sit on the dock.

This boat moves, not only in flat conditions. The vessel is built to go to see and the owner loves to take her out, no matter if it looks rough. The previous captain/ stew cook team did 12,000 NM in 2 years with the boat.

Amazing American owners who love to adventure. The have grown kids that join them on Family trips during the summer.

Will consider a first time Captain that been a strong Mate and has proven longevity and sea time.

The captains cabin is a Queen bed, in a full sized cabin with its won head. This Cabin is on the main deck, behind the pilot house. 2 crew cabins below in very generously sized crew quarters. Each crew member ahs their own cabin even when the 4th is on board.

The yacht runs with 3 full time crew and brings on a 4th for the Caribbean charter season. Captain Engineer, Sole stew/cook and Mate. Deck stew during the Caribbean season.

Owner is looking for a very hands on captain, that will work very closely with him on operations. The owner is not an owner operator, but is very involved and has been a major help and asset to the previous captain.

The Summer program the boat heads to New England, Charleston, Boston then Maine.

Winter the boat heads to the Caribbean. Home dock maybe St Martin, St Barts, or PR. Essentially y its open, but the owner wants it in the Caribbean.

Due to the conditions the boat often travels in they do not tow a tender. They have a 17ft Center console, 11ft inflatable, and a 10ft sailing yacht on deck.

Owner loves to fish, dive, snorkel, kayak etc.

200ton minimum ticket requirement.

Yacht is 150ton Cayman registered yacht.

The new build will be arriving July and commissioned to head to the Caribbean November 2024. You will be hired now to work and live on board the 63ft yacht until the new vessel arrives. This will be a wonderful opportunity to learn the boat and engines/room as the new boat will be the same, just bigger.
