Summary

Sole Chef required for private 40m Mediterranean-based motor yacht.  

-We are looking for an organised and efficient Chef with previous experience as a Sole Chef to join this yacht for the 2024 summer season. This is a seasonal role, due to start ideally as soon as possible and finish at the end of October. The vessel has a nice summer itinerary planned with trips around many parts of the Med.

-The successful candidate will have at least a few years of yachting experience and be very competent at provisioning, budgeting and maintaining the galley solo. A restaurant background would also be advantageous.

-You will liaise with the owners directly to create menus. They enjoy fairly a mixed of cuisine but do like Mediterranean, as well as a mix of service styles - sometimes plated, sometimes family style. The owners take care of the crew and are apparently wonderful to work for. They are looking for someone who can bring out the 'wow' factor this year.

-There is a small tight-knit crew of 7. There is great longevity onboard with many of the senior crew having stayed onboard for many years.

-Salary 8,000 euros per month depending on experience.

-Start date will ideally as soon as possible with flexibility for the right candidate.

-Leave will be accrued during the season at a standard rate.
