Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced deckhand with a strong racing background to join this beautiful new SY Mylius 66'. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of sailing techniques, racing strategies, and boat maintenance procedures. This position requires a high level of skill, adaptability, and teamwork to contribute to the success of our competitive racing campaigns.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation of the boat for racing events, including rigging, sail setup, and equipment maintenance.
Actively participate in on-water training sessions and race events, performing tasks such as trimming sails, helming, and executing maneuvers.
Demonstrate proficiency in handling various sailing maneuvers, including spinnaker sets and douses, tacks, gybes, and mark roundings
Maintain a clean and organized deck, ensuring safety procedures are followed at all times.
Assist with routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning, varnishing, and minor repairs as needed.
7.Uphold a positive and professional attitude while representing the team both on and off the water.
Qualifications:- Previous experience as a deckhand on racing sailboats- Strong knowledge of sailing techniques, racing rules, and tactics.- Physically fit and capable of performing strenuous tasks in varying weather conditions.- Familiarity with boat maintenance and repair procedures, including basic mechanical skills
Job specifics: Only male candidates due to cabin arrangements. Languages: English and German is a plus.
Salary: 3,5-4k Euros TBD with owner
