About & Hobbies

I was born and crew up in the Cape Town area of South Africa and started my yachting career in 1994. I enjoy the challenges of marine engineering and take pride in always keeping a safe, well organized, clean and tidy working environment.

Having a sailing background, my knowledge and experience extends beyond only engineering and I believe that my skill set which I have developed over the last 28 years will be beneficial to the next vessel which I join, it's owners, captain and crew.

I strive to always be professional, respectful, considerate towards the owners and fellow crew members and value loyalty, commitment, honesty, perseverance and determination.

My hobbies and interests include free diving ,scuba diving , rugby , tennis ,enjoying nature's quiet and scenic surroundings , exploring historic towns and places , cooking , red wine , reading , DIY home improvements and spending quality time with my family.
