I’m a very active, hands on, hard working engineer who advocates and stresses the importance of teamwork. I’m diligent and professional in my work, and strive to achieve high standards at all times. I have extensive experience in engineering on yachts between 50 and 110m, including maintenance, drydocking, ship yards, expedition vessels and guest trips.
I also spent the early part of my Carer on large cruiser ships prior to moving to yachting.
I have a keen interest in all types of watersports, specifically wakeboarding and water skiing and also enjoy off road motor biking and hillwalking

1st Engineer Onboard Motor Yacht Legend A refitted commercial expedition vessel operating under full passenger yacht code, Experienced in dealing with major breakdowns in remote areas such as Antarctic and Arctic waters with little to no support, refit planning and management and maintenance on slow-medium speed diesel engines. I was in charge of a team of 2 engineers and an eto, maintaining the engine room in full ISM and flag compliance while also taking full charge of the planned maintenance system
2nd Engineer onboard motor yacht Skat. MTU 4000 Main engines and MTU generators. I worked as 2nd engineer in charge of engine room maintenance and also management of the 3rd engineer. I completed the 20 year survey of the vessel while in SYC Georgia USA which included liaising with flag for class scheduled maintenance and management of contractors as well as the installation and commissioning of a new ballast water treatment system. I also assisted in the sale of the vessel up to and including the handing over to the new owner. Then sailed the vessel into drydock and assisted in the planning and implementation of interior overhaul as well as some large technical upgrades and planned maintenance in a large refit based in Peters Werft Shipyard

Temporary second engineer during an extensive refit period in the Amico Shipyard in Genoa.
As hotel services engineer I was responsible for the maintenance and repairs of the ships hotel systems such as galley, laundry and sewage systems. I was also responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the ships lifeboats and their launching apparatus. I was also responsible for the bunkering of fuel and lubricating oil up to a quantity of over 1000 metric tonnes
I have extensive experience having served on large luxury cruise ships for carnival UK as a 2nd Engineer
Between November 2015 and March 2017 I served on a number of carnival UK’s luxury cruise ships as 3rd engineer junior watchkeeper such as MV Britannia, MV Azura and MV Venturqan this role I reported to the second engineer and was the hands on engineer in the engine room conduction rounds and operating machinery to the 2nd engineers instructions.
