About & Hobbies

Hello, my name is Marcin, and I bring over 20 years of maritime engineering experience to the table.

After graduating from the marine academy, I began my career on tankers and transitioned to the offshore industry within five years. I have remained in the offshore industry for the past 16 years. Throughout my career, I have exclusively worked for British companies. Thanks to my experience on various types and sizes of vessels, I have gained invaluable expertise in ship engineering operations and maintenance.

Currently, I'm serving as a 1st Engineer on a Diving Support Vessel with SubSea7, overseeing a team of 5 in the engineering department. My responsibilities extend beyond the engine room to encompass key deck equipment, such as lifeboats, cranes, winches, and accommodation facilities. With my Chief Engineer Unlimited license, I've stepped in for the role a few times, but honestly, on this type of vessel, it's more of an office-based job, and it's not really my thing. I prefer getting my hands on the job and working around the engine room, where I feel more comfortable and get things done.

I'm someone you can count on – reliable, hardworking, and all about teamwork. Every chief engineer I've worked with has had good things to say about me. Please look at my profile, work history, and the feedback from others. I'm excited about the chance to bring my skills and energy to your team. Using my current experience, I can provide good technical support on board your vessel.

In my free time, I enjoy exploring new technologies in telecom and electronics gadgets. I'm enthusiastic about mountain climbing and focus on maintaining my fitness through gym workouts
