About & Hobbies

31 year old South African/German currently living in Belgium on my sailboat. I have extensive experience on vessels from 60-140m with over 9 years in the industry. I take pride in my work and very much still enjoy working on deck doing paint jobs, varnish works as well as driving some incredible tenders as lead tender driver on 4 vessels already. Saying that I also thrive in the bridge environment and have ample experience with a fully ISM run ship. I have found my passion and that is working and living at sea, hence why I live full time on my sailboat when not working. I consider myself a hardworking honest individual that likes to keep the crew motivated.

My interests are Surfing, Free diving, Bodyboarding ( Ex professional bodyboarder for national champs in South Africa 2009/2010), Carpentry, Mountaineering (I've recently enjoyed hiking to the glacial plateau of mount Fitz Roy in Patagonia and summiting a few incredible peaks in Northern Norway and the Arctic), Rock climbing, Sailing my 39ft sloop sail boat that I share with my partner currently docked in Belgium.

A proper expedition style operation.
