Hi there!

My name is Joel and I come from Sweden. I am a hardworking, ambitious and positive person seeking a position as a deckhand onboard a private or charter yacht. My personality is fun, outgoing and uncomplicated. Grown up in a fishing family on the Swedish west coast around boats has taught me a good lesson when it comes to knowledge about the marine life and boatskills that can be really useful onboard a yacht. I am a teamplayer that would like to contribute to a fast paced and hardworking environment with my can-do attitude and team/fighting spirit.

As a colleague I am supporting, respectful, warm and trying to make me and my team achieve the best we possibly can. I'm no stranger to life at sea and have a lot of experience on both sailing and motor boats. Im organized and very adaptable, I do not like drama and want everyone around me to feel comfortable.

I am a talented windsurfing instructor with useful carpentry skills that I want to take to my advantage onboard. I think team success comes through hard work, a positive atmosphere and respect towards each other. I’m looking forward to learn and grow as a deckhand and starting what will hopefully become a long career in the yachting industry.

Soccer - Have been the captain of my football team for many years.

Windsurfing/surfing - Being out on the waves gives me that adrenaline kick.

Running/Hiking - When there is time, I prefer to explore through these ways.

Gym - Enjoy working out on a daily basis in the gym with weights/calisthenics.

Skiing - Slalom and offpist the Alps or Swedish mountains
