In this Coastal Safety Marine Knowledge online learning course we cover the subjects that give you the “Coastal Safety Marine Knowledge” that you need to go to sea and come home safely.

For example you need a good knowledge about the buoyage system which is made up of coloured lights and distinctive markers to show where the edge of the channel is, where the isolated dangers are, where the safe water is and where the special areas are for say swimming or even military explosive practice areas.

What kind of actions should be taken to avoid a collision and what responsibilities “every” vessel at sea has. Ignorance of the rules is not a defence these days.
