Summary

Position:  Stewardess    Yacht: 45 - 50m motor - charter   Job ID: 499367   Location: US East Coast - local to S. Florida     Start date: Soon   Itinerary:  Florida/Bahamas     Requirements:   STCW ENG1 or current fit for duty marine medical (valid for 6 months) Food hygiene/safety level 2 Security Awareness Service skills Housekeeping skills   Valid passport.     Responsibilities: Assisting on the interior as 2nd stewardess. Duties will include service, housekeeping, laundry, bartending and guest services.     Other: Good communicator, well spoken, neat and organized. Willing to learn. Confident. Outgoing personality.     Job Specifics: VERY family program, no nonsense at all.  The Mister is very nice.  pay is $3-4k USD / month, one season experience minimum.      Our client wants a Stewardess to join very private 45m+ yacht.: The program can only be described as very civilized.   Based in South Florida with trips to the Bahamas for the owner, his family and guests. If you are looking for a slower program that allows time for a life in South Florida  this is it. The owner is a long term yacht owner treating crew with respect and kindness. Service levels are high, not outrageous, and the Stewardess should be comfortable speaking with high profile individuals. The Captain has asked us to focus on candidates who are professional, but who also enjoy a good laugh. The team works together and personality will go a long way to success.  Generally speaking, turnover on this program is very low. The nitty gritty of the position - there are two members of the interior team, the Chief Stewardess and you. When not in use, both of you share the housekeeping duties  general cleaning, etc. When guests are aboard, both of you will perform service, so you will already have some service (yachting) experience.  They are not looking for super-high end, but drinks, table service, etc. as you would normally expect.   All Candidates must meet the following: One full season on a yacht where you have service experience (a full year is much better) STCW Basic Training and current ENG1 (or other Medical Fit For Duty) Verifiable references. Due to the high profile nature of the owner and guests, all candidates are put through a very intensive background check and drug screening. Drug tests will be conducted on a regular basis    Salary range: Within yachting salary guidelines depending on experience   Package: Medical coverage, flights to and from the vessel, paid leave, etc. to be finalized during interview process.   Commercial Registered Yacht:  Privately registered yacht.
