We are looking for an exceptional Chase Boat Captain / Tender mechanic to complement our team . Candidate must be a confident, highly skilled, and an experienced tender driver with great practical engineering experience. Proven watersports experience and Tender operations are also a must. Candidate will be primarily be responsible for our 38’ Wajer Tender with twin 600hp Volvo Penta IPS drives.
Candidates responsibilities will include; -Regular cleaning and maintenance -Implementation and monitoring planned maintenance schedule according to manufacturer’s recommendations and vessels MMV program -Logistical tasks such as Navigation planning and execution -Basic admin tasks such as Navigation & Engineering Logs, managing and adhering to budget etc. -report daily to the 1st Officer with a daily/weekly/monthly plan of projects and requests -required to assist with daily tasks and duties carried out on main vessel when the T2 has been set up for the day with the relevant projects having been completed
Qualifications required; Minimum 2yrs Industry experience Yacht Master Offshore - minimum AEC - minimum STCW’s Valid for 2 yrs ENG1 Medical valid for at least 6 months Seaman’s Discharge Book beneficial but not mandatory
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in this role or having worked within a deck team on board vessels >50m operating large Tenders (10m+). You will be expected to assist on board main vessel whenever your daily T2 duties have been completed. As with any smaller yacht program, these duties will not be restricted solely to within the deck team. All crew on board are expected to assist where needed. You will need to be able to work unsupervised and thus have immaculate work ethics and a self-starting attitude to create and complete tasks. There will be times when the T2 is away from the main vessel for extended periods. During this time you will be expected to adhere to the Standing Orders set out for the main vessel and her Crew. You will be our representative in our absence so we are looking for an extremely reliable and trustworthy addition to the current crew. When the T2 is in the vicinity of main vessel you will have a berth available onboard. Other than this you will be expected to sleep on T2 (no shore side accommodation will be provided unless absolutely necessary)
Main vessel is extremely busy, she is a world cruising motor yacht. We have covered some incredible cruising areas with more to come. This is a purely privately operated program with extremely high standards. This is not a program where we will be sitting around for long periods.
Preference to candidates already in Asia. - Candidates that are further afield may be expected to cover the joining flight which will be reimbursed after 6 months service.

Currently the "T2” is getting refit in Holland. It will be shipped directly to Japan and will arrive there mid April, so this role will start then. Main vessel will not arrive into Japan until the end of May, and T2 will be utilized by the owner prior to her arrival (one of the two owners is based in Tokyo).
