Summary

We are seeking a unique Second Stewardess to join a 50m totally private motor yacht.

This program does not fit everybody, but the right Second, will get 2 years of world travel with a team that has amazingly low turnover.

First - the scary - we have liveaboard owners. Second - no teams - if you must work with your partner, please pass this one right by. Lastly - the cabin is shared with the (male) Bosun. He is clean, tidy and respectful, but at this point, shared..

Now - the interesting - both Captain and Chief Stewardess (not a team) have been there for approximately 7 years. The position opened as the current 2nd is promoted to Sous-Chef. This team works well together, and promotes internal growth.

The travel - they are currently located in the US/Caribbean and over the next 2 years will go through the Panama Canal, cruise the West Coast of Central America, return to US/Caribbean then off to French Polynesia. If you want hard work and travel - this is the program.

The Second supports the Chief while learning. You work hand in glove with the other 2 girls, and step up when the Chief is on break/vacation. You must come with a “learner mindset.”

The position opens in about a month (just after New Year) and the process is as follows: Candidates will be reviewed on their CV Good history of yachting experience Longevity aboard Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in a written format Professional presentation in the photo - as you would show up to an interview.

For Candidates who pass the CV screening - a 20 minute SKYPE interview with our agent. In that interview you will be reviewed for consistency, motivation, and onboard experiences.

The Chief Stewardess directs our agent to conduct verbal reference checks on 3 candidates. These focus on your on-board performance, guest and crew interaction and your adherence to the boat’s policies - including drugs and alcohol.

The Chief Stewardess and Captain will conduct the final interviews.

The wages and benefits are good - but negotiations occur after the final interviews.
